Simcha Ward is a Senior Development Manager at Laurel Street Residential, a leading mixed-income housing developer based in Charlotte, North Carolina. He takes a triple bottom line approach to real estate development by striving to deliver positive results economically, ecologically, and socially.
Prior to joining the team at Laurel Street, Simcha served as Development Manager and Project Architect at Wisznia|Architecture + Development in New Orleans, Louisiana, where he was a teammate on catalytic developments across the Gulf South such as The Pizitz, The Garage and Two Saints.
Simcha began his career as an Architect in the Washington DC office of the global design practice, CallisonRTKL. While in DC he focused on the design of retail and hospitality driven mixed-use developments for clients such as GGP, Royal Caribbean, and ChinaLand Group. Sim was heavily involved in R+D efforts within the firm and received the firm’s 2012 Leonard Kagan Research Fellowship to study the creation of operational and embodied energy design performance software.
As a proud graduate of the Tulane University School of Architecture, Simcha currently serves on the Dean’s Advisory Board and is the National Co-Chair of the Alumni Council. He is a Licensed Architect in the District of Columbia, a fellow of the Loyola University Institute of Politics, and an avid fan of the Denver Broncos and classic bluegrass music.
